Taiwhenua Pharmacy is committed to handling personal information respectfully and in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 where applicable.
Information collected through this website
When you use our contact form, Taiwhenua Pharmacy collects the name, email address, topic and message you choose to provide. The form also receives technical and anti-spam information needed to operate the service, including Cloudflare Turnstile verification data.
Providing information is voluntary. We use it to respond to your enquiry and may share it with appropriate pharmacy staff who need it to respond. Please avoid including unnecessary clinical, medication or other health information. For urgent or detailed medication advice, call us on (06) 871 5359; the form is not an emergency service.
How the website enquiry is handled
Website enquiries are processed by the Cloudflare Pages/Functions service and sent using Resend to our pharmacy inbox, [email protected]. Your email address is used as a Reply-To address so our team can respond; the recipient is controlled by the server and cannot be selected in the form. We do not claim that these services store information only in New Zealand. Their own privacy and processing terms may also apply.
We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, administer the service, meet legal obligations and manage pharmacy operations. We do not use enquiry messages for unrelated marketing.
Staff portal information
The private staff portal is a separate system for authorised pharmacy personnel. It may contain employment, payroll, leave, incident, complaint, medication-error and other staff-submitted records. Access is restricted through the configured staff authentication boundary and server-side permissions. Portal records are retained and managed for legitimate employment, safety, operational and legal purposes; they are not public website content.
Your rights and questions
You may ask us for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. To make a request or ask a privacy question, contact the pharmacy at [email protected] or (06) 871 5359. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

We may update this statement when our website, services or legal obligations change. The review date above identifies the current version.
